My name is Brooke Dahmen. I have been an artist for as long as I can remember. I studied Media Arts and Animation at the Illinois Institute of Art in Schaumburg Illinois as well as VFX and Animation at Tribeca Flashpoint Academy in Chicago. Since graduation I have had a lot of experiences working on film sets. Much of those jobs came from networking I did while at Flashpoint, which was also a film school. I have been a production assistant and a set decorator, I have a keen eye for detail and was often the art go-to girl for my film friends. That is really where I got into Graphic Design. The ability to design props by creating new logos for things that would be seen on film. I then began to self teach in that department. I have since created logos for a clothing company, a jewelry company as well as the Independent Film company that I have had the pleasure of working with. Throughout the years, I have had a lot of various freelance jobs- but I have never lost my love of drawing and painting. I have chosen to take a few continuing education courses online through Schoolism.com. Learning the art of caricatures, character development and my new found love of digital painting. I have a very wide range of creative abilities and a great knowledge of many mediums. After mission trip with the Youth group from my Church this summer, I was inspired and had a bit of a career epiphany and decided to shift my career path a little bit to better utilize my talents. I am currently applying to become a High School Art Teacher. I still have aspirations to be a well known book illustrator, both dreams come with the desire to influence the creative minds of the future. I hope that you enjoy my various works. I really am a jack of all trades and always looking for new creative endeavors!
